Oracle Big Data Appliance
Die Oracle Big Data Appliance wurde zur schnellen und skalierbaren Verarbeitung großer Datenmengen durch den Einsatz von Hadoop und Spark konzipiert. Im Gegensatz zu der Oracle Exadata und der Oracle Database Appliance, wurde die Oracle Big Data Appliance nicht dazu entwickelt eine Oracle RDBMS Datenbank laufen zu lassen. Dennoch besteht auch hier die Möglichkeit diese Maschine mit der Exadata Plattform zu verbinden, um dadurch gewonnene Ergebnisse in einer relationalen Datenbank weiterverarbeiten zu können.
Auch die Oracle Big Data Appliance zeichnet sich durch verschiedene Einsatzmöglichkeiten, vom eigenen Rechenzentrum bis zur Public Cloud aus und bietet verschiedenen Skalierungsvarianten. Die Appliance besticht durch ihre hohe Open Source Kompatibilität und performante Verbindung zur Oracle Exadata.
