Wie auch die Oracle Exadata, ist die Oracle Database Appliance ein integriertes Paket von Software, Rechnern, Netzwerken und Speicher, bietet jedoch deutlich weniger Flexibilität, Skalierungs- und Einsatzmöglichkeiten (nur im eigenen Rechenzentrum). Durch den Einsatz der Oracle Database Appliance können Lizenzkosten optimiert werden.
